Help!!! My tail lights does not turn off.

Hey guys my tail lights stay on all the time. If I open the trunk they turn off but when I close the trunk again they stay on. Is that a kind of code? I check the brake liquid and it was a little low, just fill it and the lights still on. It could be the alternator? That problem is going to drain the battery!!! BTW already check the breakes switch...

Sounds like you have a pinched wire that is shorting to ground when the trunk in closed to act like the switch is turned on. Check the harness on both sides going to the tails.

When you say tail lights do you mean the brake lamps, or the ones that come on with the headlights (aka tail-lights)?
