My kits are still for sale and for 3rd gens I also stock the little cover for the side of the steering wheel, so no drilling is even required.

good to know i've wasted ALOT of time opening everything trying to figure that part out. Everything about their stupid instruction seems wrong.
1)"For 2012 Yaris: Using a "Torx" Driver, push in the 3 snap rings to disengage it from the 3 pins" - After checking out this site, i realized a flat head screw driver should do the trick. 2)The template cut didn't make sense - 1.5 inch hole saw is not needed. It was simpler to just use a razor to cut out a rectangle for the piece. As for the 1/4 pilot hole, i never understood what it was for. 3) If you're right about the "BLACK ECM CONNECTOR C20 IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FIREWALL", that's more wrong info from them for page 6 (steps 1-3) Their instructions are the worst (http://www.rostra.com/manuals/250-1836_Form5370A.pdf). This was suppose to be specifically for the 2012 yaris. I see that you have also mentioned similar instructions within the forum matching theirs on page 7 (steps 5 to 7). Do i still need to do this? BTW, can you PM me on how to buy from you? Last edited by spammenot66; 10-13-2013 at 08:10 PM. |

The page 7 info is completely wrong for a 2012. The 2012+ are all prewired. The only thing that would have to be done is to install and plug in (connector is present) the clutch switch for a manual transmission Yaris. So, for 2012+ just install the stalk and you're done for an auto. For a manual, also install the clutch switch. All wiring is present, so it is just a matter of plugging them in.

Hi All,
Fitted the Scott's CC kit on Yaris 2013, 1.33 1nr-fe CVT. Touch 'n Go head unit didn't ask for security code after the battery disconnect, also all settings were not reset (radio, BT, sound settings). To get out the airbag from the wheel with side gear switches - is real pain, took me like 40 min. CC works like a charm :), the plastic cover panel didn't fit though, waiting for Scott to figure that out. Update: Scott emailed me the partnumber of the cover panel and I got it from the local dealer for $10 with taxes (btw Scott had refunded me the wrong part cost at the moment I've reported it) Last edited by dobrik; 11-03-2013 at 03:39 AM. No. Unfortunately only the 1.33L European Yaris supports cruise control.

I do not believe that the 1.0L supports cruise. Only the 1.33L wiring diagrams indicate that cruise control is available on it.

I have seen a couple of aftermarket kits listed on European websites (I posted a link in one of the threads on here). Those kits sell for $400 to $600 US from what I have seen.

Just a quick post to thank Scott, just installed the cruise control on my 2013 3 door. This is my second Yaris first was a 2007 that got totaled in 2012 with 245000 miles on it. The install was quick and easy like 20 minutes. The hardest part was being careful releasing the 3 pins that hold the (horn airbag assembly), don't force it just press it with light force you will see the assembly unlock and you will hear it. Works great and the cover was worth the extra $5, makes it look nice and clean, just like OEM at 1/8 the cost.
Mods so far with 2003 miles on it performed in this order, TRD sway bar, Tanabe Medallion axle back, and of course cruise control. Next lightweight belt pulley, then AFE intake. |

Yes. As mentioned above, cruise is an option of the Yaris Hybrid, so they should all be setup for it.

Ask CTScott, but I think that is possible, because in our country the hibrid can have CC in stock new car. You have 1.5l engine?
