Gutters - Best way to keep leaves out

I have tried various gutter screens etc., mostly from Home Depot, but have not been happy with them. Anyone have a good recommendation the will not clog with the maple seeds, mud from things like decomposing leaves while not restricting the flow of water?

cut down all the trees around your's and your neighbors' houses. sorry, i couldn't resist! i've seen those long cylinders that look like a giant pipe-cleaner that fit nicely in the gutters. you can get them in 6 foot lengths from places like amazon. supposedly, they allow water to fall thru, but larger particles(leaves, seeds, etc) stay on top.

Systems like Leaf Filter or Leaf Guard are really the top performing solutions. All those buy it in 6 foot length items available in hardware stores are ultimately money wasted.

Thanks guys. I have seen those and will check them out. I have found that anyone can make a system to keep leaves out, but they also end up keeping out a lot of the rain as they will also get clogged.
thanks again...

I use one of these with my leave blower to blow the leaves out of the gutters as I cant afford to install “leaf proof gutters”

Hi. Apologies for reviving the old discussion. Need your advice on repairing the metal gutter. I've looked through about 10 forums about found nothing useful. Maybe you can help me. Thanks in advance, folks!

Hey there! No worries about reviving an old discussion. Though I'm new here, I'm happy to help. Sorry to hear about your metal gutter troubles. Have you considered using a gutter repairing service? They can be a lifesaver in situations like these. I found a pretty good one at https://www.maxima-aluminum.com. They can fix all kinds of gutter issues and they're pretty affordable too. I hope this helps! Good luck with your gutter repair.

Different people have different preferences, and that's perfectly normal.
