Not A Yaris

I bought a 1989 F250 7.3 Diesel with 200,000 miles on it. It was $1000.

HAlf the fuses are gone from the fuse box and there are wires coming out of it. The lower half of the dashboard covering the fuse box is gone. The radio, blower, horn, and half the warning lights dont work.

Im thinking theres a massive short and the fuses keep blowing so changing them wont work.

Is there are way to make a separate wiring harness/fuse box to fix the things I need to get working? Pretend its a farm truck. Right now i want the blower to work so I have a defroster.

Oh get this. In NJ a diesel engined vehicle tagged for passanger use and under 10,000 lbs GVR never needs to be inspected never needs and emissions test.

Scary.

If you can find the EWDs for it, then it is fairly easy to bypass the OEM wiring.

we have the same truck (in red) as a woods buggy for the cabin !!!!! not a diesel though.

same thing in Maine. no inspection and I have an antique plate ! this thing, you stick it in gear and stay off the gas and it will climb a mountain just on idle !!! and it turns on a freaking dime ! best truck ever for a woods buggy

If I remember correctly in Maine you could paint the name of the town you were from on the doors and then didn't need inspection or plate as long as you stayed in that town. It's been a long time ago I may be wrong
