Talking Im a bonehead

Take anyone else a month before they noticed the compartment just below the dimmer switch? LOLOL. I am such a bonehead. I was installing my first mod today (two addtional 12v outlets inside the compartments on left and right of AC controls) and I always thought that compartment was the cover for the fuses. To my surprise I went to check a fuse and now I have another compartment to hold stuff. YAY!

Took me a week to notice it. Also felt kind of dumb.

Now it's loaded with those large, individually wrapped peppermint Lifesavers!

Is that maybe the locking lever for raising and lowering the steering wheel.

It is on our LB.

He might be talking about the panel underneath the steering wheel. A gentle tug and it swings down... it gives you access to things like the DRL box.

hmmm....I bet some creative person could mount a plastic compartment in that space. Looks like there is a bit of room behind that panel. Would be great for hiding the Ipod and PDA. Could even be a locking panel.

It't a perfect size and space for my sunglasses.

We are weird I know but we only pay cash for gas and keep a little pouch of money in there. Heck I probably still wouldn't know about it if I hadn't read that part of the manual.

Hey, don't make fun, I just found my thrid glove box 2 days ago (had the car for 3 weeks now) I was wondering what that little 'dibbit' just to the left of the steering wheel was, and before I knew it, the dash lifted up and wammo.. another compartment. It works nice on sunny days.. I can fit my Garmin c330 in there and it blocks most the sun and keeps a signal.. kinda dorky keeping it open when I'm driving, but it works well.

I've thought about shaving out a little bit of the back of the box so I can mount it in there and shut the door when I'm not using it.
