Rear Disc Brake Conversion???

I just got an '09 Sedan and wanted to work on suspension and breaking first. I stumbled across micro images website and found the rear brake disc conversion and wanted to see if anybody has done it yet. I've done it on my civic from an integra and instantly felt a dramatic change. Wanted to know if it's worth it? How easy is it to replace the pads/discs because toyota doesn't make them, reliability? Would i need a different proportioning valve as well? any info on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

here's the link just in case ya'll wanted to check them out:

Yes. Check out the member by the name of "Brian". I believe he has the kit on his car. Seems pretty reliable as I've not heard any complaints neither from him or in general.

You can find Brian here or on microimageonline's forums section.

If you search the keywords rear discs you'll get a couple more people who have had them installed.

Brian did do the conversion and as far as I know he actually may have converted all the way around as in he upgraded to the same parts all the way around; calipers, discs, pads, etc.

I 've had the rear disc brake conversion on for about a year and a half now. I must have put about 50,000 miles on them and won't need to change the pads anytime soon. Most of the braking is up front so you may or may not noticed a difference. Installation is quite simple. Takes a few hours at the most. If you do need new pads, Garm (Cali Yaris) can get them. I have not had a single problem with the brakes. Its a very nice kit and looks so much better than the drums.

I had it on my car for a good long while too - no issues and never went through a set of pads, even using it at the track.

I have one kit left in stock at this time.

Little off topic, but what do you recommend for pads (garm, brian, anyone lol)?

I see you sell the carbotecs, garm. Are those good pads? I want some bite but I don't want messy dusty shit all over the front of my car either.

Thanks!

ok, we are now talking about the front, right? CarboTech 1521 is a great street pad, nice bite, and low dust/low noise.
