Since it got below 0 my milage dropped by 2mpg. Winter fuel blends, longer warm-up, snow packed roads are all factors.

Summer my Yaris will get as high as 700kms per tank.
Lately i'm lucky to get 500kms before i need to fill up.
All cars get poorer mpg in winter just be thankfull you dont have to fill up a Chevy 350 4X4 Duelly thats also getting 20% poorer mpg.

I think you're alright. I haven't taken a huge hit yet, but this past tank I am down about 50km from usual with all this snow, cold and wet roads.

Oh, I forgot to state that I've been able to keep my MPG close to my summer numbers until now by cutting out nearly all short trips or city driving, but this past tank has seen me do more of both.

It seems that in the winter shorter trips are double poison as is driving in the city. I've read it takes our engines about 26 kms to warm up to optimal temp in the winter, so that might help. Also, with all this rain.... wet roads are bad for MPG too and it seems like the pavement hasn't been dry in months around here.

Winter FE

Between the cold weather and my wife driving the car a lot this tank, I got my first sub 40 mpg tank in seven months.
