aftermarket dead pedal

Hello,
I've been mostly just reading posts and this is the first time I've posted anything. Anyway, there is an aftermarket company that is considering making a dead pedal for the Yaris similar to one being made for the Honda Fit:

http://www.zetaproducts.net/index.as...WPROD&ProdID=4

They are looking for some input and wondering if there would be enough interest from Yaris owners to manufacture one. I've been in touch with them because I would be interested in buying one myself.

They are wondering if the lack of a decent dead pedal is a concern for enough people and if it is also a problem for the Yaris sedan. Does anyone know if the factory dead pedal is the same for all Yaris models? I have a liftback and am going to email them a picture of the dead pedal on it. If anyone has a sedan and could email them a picture of that dead pedal (if it is different) that would be very helpful too. Please let me know what you all think. Thanks.

I would like a dead pedal. I have thought of constructing my own, since that part of the carpet seems to be wearing very quickly. Not excited about the price tag, though.

Yes, it does look a little pricey. Probably because they don't make or sell in large quantities. Looks like they also have a decent arm rest.

That is waaaaaay too much for something you can make yourself for under ten dollars. Just cut a template in cardboard then affix stickly velcro to the bottom and a piece of rubber floormat to the top. It will stay in place easily.

To get me to buy that dead pedal it would have to cost about $15 plus shipping. Three times that is ridiculous!

Cheers! M2

Ugly and expensive. I've seen better dead pedals out there for the Yaris.
I do agree that we should make a list of interested buyers and see if a YW vendor can source it for us.

Like I said I'm interested in getting one. If you've seen other ones I'd be interested in looking at them too.

Guess I'm the only one who's interested. The guy there wanted a picture of the factory (styrofoam) dead pedal so I sent him one. He's going to see if it's feasible to make some (ugly and expensive X2 ??) ones.
