Cheap & Easy !
Especially for textured trim parts.

Get a soft tooth brush and some vinyl trim protector. (I use Meguiar's)
Spray the white (affected) places and brush the spot/area that is where you're attention is being directed to. Wipe the area of the liquid you applied, and do another "treatment" in the same place. Wipe up the stuff and that's all...
No big deal, and all that Trace Residue from your polish/wax will be gone, and the vinyl has a nice treatment in the process as well!

Saw a product at work (auto parts store) that supposedly takes wax off of black plastic but forget what it is - I'll check it out tomorrow and report back.
