NC owners "ADVISORY"

Found out today that if your vehicle did not come with window tint and you add it, NC charges a fee of $10.00 in addition to whatever fee you pay for your yearly inspection. That is 10 bucks each year more.

Also be advised that not all inspection sites are equipped with the tool used to measure the amount of light that passes through the tint.

Thought I'd post this in case you were thinking of having it done.

My comment:.........."Damn what's next?"

In your case you probably would be okay. From what I was told....if it shows on the dealer invoice of which you should have a copy then it is what is called "from the factory" and is legal. Also that paperwork which is normally affixed on the new car windows when you look at them on the lot should have in the section marked "vehicle equipped with" window tint.

There are taxes everywhere. They will get you one way or the other. NC is not that bad actually. I've lived in many states.

But as for the next thing...hmmm probably the little GPS thing they are going to put in your car to track your mileage and then tax you for that...it's coming...it's being tested....

Shouldn't be any tax on a NC vehicle inspection.
