Huge Yaris Meet??

Ok YW Members I want to have a HUGE Yaris World meet and I am talking about extremely big i mean i want everyone that lives in the US to go and we can call it "Yaris World National Meet" we can do it once a Year on a week end for 2 days. I wanted to do this in the middle of the country to make it fair i guess. Book a hotel, bring ur family get to know each other have a really big photo shoot and do something else, I want you all to pitch in ideas as to where to go or what you have in mind. I REALLY WANT TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN so lets plan waaaaay ahead of time. I want to trow this for summer time, so you can plan on time as well, request it off, take vacation whatever it takes for you to make it to the meet. I want to keep it clean so have a good attitude about this

I think it would be cool, but with 3000km round trip driving I'll have to pass.

Depends upon where you are thinking of holding this meet, not just when...

+1, im willing to drive just about anywhere in the states (thanks for considering us canadian foke, lol) to make this happen. we need options where to have it (not jsut when) seeing as that would be a big factor for transit time and how willing i am to go.

since teddy is a panzy ill bring him too :p lol

if i were to try to pick a place, i would look at a map that would show how everyone is spread out(kinda like the one of the world on Call Of Duty telling you what part of the country is playing) and pick a central point based upon popluarity. as unfair for a few ppl as it maybe be you kinda have to look at the popular vote in this situation. or possibly divide it up and do like 2 or 3 places at once. Then eveyone could be invovled with it.... just my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure we all have those ... modding money doesn't create itself.

But, with jobs comes vacation time.

I am game for anywhere, I love road trips as long as I have the gas money :)

I'd stick with ImportAlliance in July and try to expand on that. I will tell you it is extremely hard to get someone to commit. If you really want to make an impact and be seen, open up a T/A business account, be the travel agent/sponser/event coordinator etc. Get with a hotel and block rooms at a special rate so that people get interested. In order for it to be more successful than any other event previously, and as wide as you want to take the word of the event, you really have to run this as a business. That part is not hard, but keeping on it is.

~ Set up after hours events for the group
~ Get sponsers involved
~ Get a designated hotel involved with rates
~ Raffles (accept donations if willing participants are game)
~ Account for every penny and provide such numbers (as if it were an HOA)

If you are going to be the ring leader, you gotta have the top hat. ImportAlliance is a great idea to expand on and a great way to get the name of the community out there. So your idea holds a lot of water. Get involved and follow the footsteps of many clubs around the country. The internet has a lot of info on getting started with an organization. Good luck.

Mike that sounds to much lol and the problem with IA its a bit far off for the people of the West side of the country, I want it to be in center place of the country to make it easier for people, You see how many people attented to IA not bad but I want most of the ppl from this forum to go, Well at least for the members of the US, But thats what I think

Not all everyone will be willing to drive from the west coast to almost the east coast, I know you can but there is people that hate the VERY far drive, I could care less about the drive as long as I have enough vacation time
