Anyone transition from a Yaris to a Prius C?

I'm currently stacking a lot of miles on my Yaris, and it's been wonderful, but I'm considering a move to a C. My gas mileage has been hovering around 35, and the cost savings could be considerable.

Anyone seen any C's prove solid at super high mileage? 300-500k?

I would gladly buy a Yaris Hybrid if it was offered in the USA like it is in most other markets, but I'm not a fan of the Prius C (or any other Prius) styling/look. The Pruis C just looks awful from all rear angles.

If it was called something else, then maybe i'd consider it. But a Prius? It gets one big nope from me.

That's funny; that's how I feel about the Yaris name... and the reason I rebadged it Vitz.

It's just a courier car lol. I have zero pride about brand or vehicle name. Being objective, a Yaris is one of least masculine cars available. I just don't care, I have a nice truck I drive on the weekends.

I like the interior layout of the C more than the '12+ Yaris. I have a '12 SE, and it's uncomfortable, poor turn radius, non functional interior compared to my 2011.

My silly little 2011 is perfect for me.

You still have that 2012?

My buddy has a 2014 Prius C. Bought it new and have had no issues with it in the almost 50,000 miles he's put on it this far.

Yeah, the new owner picks it up 3/28. I am searching for a suitable backup car lined up before then.

My bro has a Prius c, and I drive a Prius c at work at least once a week (I'm a sales manager at a Toyota dealership).

My take is to save your money. While they're very reliable (they're basically our version of the Yaris HSD [hybrid]), they may not get you that much more mpg than the Yaris. The 2017 MY has dropped to 48/43 mpg. But if you drive it with fuel efficiency in mind, I'm sure you can get high mpg. I get anywhere from 55 to 65 mpg in my bro's Prius c. I'm currently averaging 41 mpg with my Yaris since my ownership of it. 44 mpg was my highest so far, and the last tank was 43.7.

Also, if you thought the Yaris was slow, you'll definitely hate the Prius c. If you're buying new (2017 MY), I'd highly consider the Prius over the Prius c. Better mpg, more comfortable, better cornering, quieter, quicker, and better safety features. It also has better incentives from Toyota (at least in my region), so your monthly payment may end up being just a little more than it would be for a Prius c. Let's just put it this way, I don't even remember the last time I sold a Prius c.

I'll probably just keep my Yaris for the foreseeable future. I really do want to clear 500k miles on it.

If they could offer a fully electric Yaris, it'd be an awesome commuter car.

I drive 200-400 miles a day, so the fully electric stuff isn't in my radar until the range improves

If you do that much daily mileage, you deserve a more comfortable car !! Or you work way to hard for your money haha (unless you're a nascar racer who's training daily ?)

I have a normal full time day job, and a few years ago I picked up a side job driving.

Well, now the side job is 40 or so hours week, and the money is awesome, so I just hustle. I don't mind it, the Yaris dash is perfect for an iPad to watch tv on lol

So you're doing some Uber type of side job ? Or some fast and furious underground courier service ?
