Yaris cargo question - need to move 60" LCD Television
I have a 2008 yaris 2 door hatchback. I need to move a used 60" LCD TV. The TV measures 55" long. Can I get it the hatch closed and still be able to drive home? I'm 5'9". I can suck it up for a few miles in terms of comfort.
I would use a measuring tape and figure out if it would fit, but i won't have access to my car until the day I have to move the used TV. Thanks |

I fit a Vizio 60" led tv still in the box in the hatch with the hatch closed and I'm only a inch shorter than you. I may have had to duck a bit or lean forward as I'm pretty sure it was resting on the headrests. I only had a 3 mile trip home.

If you have a roof rack you can ratchet strap down the roof to the latch lock catch. No need to put a TV at an angle. In your case it's fine since it's properly boxed and all.
If you have a short Roof adapter use the front roof bar to hook the ratchet strap. |

It fit with a moving blanket wrapped around it, and laid down flat. No problem. Drove home comfortably.
I live in manhattan, nyc. a truck rental would have cost me $60 minimum, plus countless time wasted waiting in line. I love this car. |

comfortably maybe a bit of an exaggeration. It was snug, but my knees had some wiggle room.
picking up a dresser tomorrow. |
