Changed the drive belt on my 2010 Yaris
I have read the threads on changing the belt and seen that that lower alt bolt was a problem to get loose. So I searched the net and found this tool that is made for Toyota alt bolt it fits perfect around the alt pulley or if you go from under the car it works even better. Tool is Assenmacher Toyota serpentine belt wrench Part # ASMTOY1914. With this tool replacing this belt was breeze. Hope this helps everyone wanting to replace this belt.

tool
Thanks for the tip. It looks like a nice tool. Worth the price instead of paying someone. Here is a link on Amazon.

That would appear to be an excellent application specific tool.
Provides the benefits of a socket for maximum bolt head grip, the low clearance benefits of a wrench, and the torquing benefits of a breaker bar.

use a wrench instead of a 3/8 socket drive.

Yeah, thanks to the A/C lines, it is a very tight space. Depends on your ratchet set. I have one 3/8" that will not fit, and another with a slightly thinner head which will just clear the lines. I use it to break the bolt free, then finish backing it out with a wrench.
