4th Place in B1 Class NHRA Spring Nationals @ Englishtown, NJ

Whats up guys and girls. Its been a while since I last posted but I'm back for more.

This past weekend @ Raceway Park in Englishtown was the NHRA Sony Xplod Sport Compact Spring Nationals. Took the Yaris (A/T) for the first time to the track and on Sunday, took 4th place in the B1 class. I'm pretty excited as it was my first time racing an A/T car. Unfortunately as we got down to the final rounds, we did round Robins where the car was too warm so my 17.3 consistancy(sp) went to a 17.5. I pretty much lost to a friend and fellow teammate of mine with his Nissan 300ZX. I had no idea that my car was now 17.5 consistant. Again, it was the first time racing an auto car. Live and learn.

I thought it was just for Scions, no? I was pitted in front of the VIP with Team XXX Racing. A buddy of mine said why dont I take the Yaris there but like I said, I though it was for Scions. I should have went over there lol.

*UPDATE*

So goes to show how people love to cry about things. I just realized I was jipped of some cash ... reason being that theround before last I was in was six cars left. Me vs. a Pinkish colored car (dont remember), my buddy with his 300ZX Z32 vs. a green car (also dont remember), and a BMW vs. an Escort SHO. The way it should have been was as follows in terms of who the final three should have been ... Yaris, 300ZX, and SHO. According to the SHO vs. BMW race, apparently the BMW cried and complained because of the fact that he went into the wrong lane. They let him get his way and I got jerked out of a trophy and money (possibly a Wally). So who knows how far I could have gotten but deff. placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

Now I'm a little annoyed.

Oh and about those pics that were linked up ... in Vincenzo's photo gallery, if the pics were a bigger, my Yaris was probably back in the pits. Thats where we were.

you wouldn't have gotten in. scion vip is an invite only and since i work for a scion dealer i get my spot. as for nrg letting us in their club check out the website. they started branching out to more than just scions..... also mostly all the scion owners were snubbing me and BXNIT(trd corolla) but who cares.....
