where is the ENgine Number?

Guyz i would like to know where is the engine number located. I have a 2005 vitz Japanese. i need to know the engine number for registration purpose. Thank You.

under the hood you'll see a yellow sticker with info about the engine. the code will be on that sticker

it's usually a vacuum diagram and will say the engine code. depends.. either way it's a 1szfe engine

ah, well i think he may want the engine serial number, not the engine code. but ill let the user tell us. :) some places have to register the ESN for theft recovery, not us though.

Tamago, whats with the 6mm red line anyhow? I would love 6mm wider fenders. haha

camber will heal your rubbage issue

-1deg of camber will give you approx 5.3mm of outer sidewall-to-fender clearance on a 205-55-15

yes I need the ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER. come on guyz help me out here. its not in the doors n there is no yellow sticker either. its a Japanese model. I believe in you guyz. You guyz can do it. LOL.

it's between cyl1 and cyl 2, on the block, just below the head, front side of the engine, behind the intake manifold. you'll need a mirror or an orthoscope

i have a steel engine sheet covering that area in front of the engine. and right behind are the intake manifold. i did not see any more. on the engine i can see 1-KR its on the right front upper side of the engine. but that is engine type no good for me.

this is a Japanese model vitz imported form japan there is no vin number. thanks guyz for all your help.

if the vin plates were removed...try moving the passenger seat all the way back, look at the floor, if you see a plastic cover the open it up and the vin is under that as well. with the vin you can call the dealer and they can get you the ESN, but you said its imported so you may have to have someone do it for you..IE whoever imported the car.
