my 5 door RS hatch has seen plenty of cargo...

a built in dishwasher - in box.

one day we went to a big box store and got some flat packed furniture, a lawnmower, a chainsaw, and a weedwacker, and a patio umbrella, all in the boxes. the store guy pushing the dolly said, "so please tell me you have a truck". I told him i haven't had a need for one yet - he was skeptical, but redeemed himself once he realized how much room was in it once you fold the seats down when he said it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen.

once, a woodstove

once, a pellet stove, and 1 ton of pellets in 3 loads...

My trip to ImportAlliance in July, I was able to fit the following:

~ A 10x10 pop-up canopy (1'x4')
~ Two cases of bottled water (1'x2'x10" each)
~ One large piece of luggage (2'x3')
~ One eTiMaGo life size vinyl banner (larger than life lol)
~ Two folding chairs (7"x3' each)
~ One cooler (1.5'x2')
~ Two full size tires on steel wheels
~ One regular size spare
.....and a million other various items picked up along the way to include trash, billiard balls (Great story, see KAC's thread on his custom shift knob)

I went to home-depot on Black Friday and got a 6' Ladder for $19 in my 5dr hatch.
It went all the way from rear hatch to the gear box. I think it's longer than 6' when folded up.

Helping out a friend with all the leftovers that didn't fit in her moving truck this weekend, I ended up with...

2 CPUs
12 Guinness pint glasses
6 growlers
1 acoustic guitar with stand
1 5-foot tall bamboo room divider screen
1 pair J Crew Wellies
2 medium-sized J Crew bags full of beer
1 medium-sized J Crew bag full of (full!) liquor bottles
1 (sadly empty) wine rack
3 board games
1 4-foot shelf with hooks
1 3-foot shelf with hooks
2 desk file drawers
1 medium-sized dog crate
1 2-foot tall plastic penguin named Eustacia

Perhaps not as impressive as some lists on here, but did anyone else have a penguin and three bags of booze?

I just fit a late 90s stereo system with cabinet, and 2 huge speakers and two smaller speakers in the back, along with my usual computer junk I always have in the car. Guy who helped me load it was impressed.

everything fits

i have never had a problem fitting anything in my yaris lb-i always leave the back seats folded down flat so my 85 pound lab can lie down back there. the sharpei insists on being in the front passenger seat though. last year i fit in a new snow blower-in the box-i have carried xmas trees-8x10' rugs-any thing i needed to haul. if its too long, i stick it out the passenger side window. people are amazed what the little thing will carry

I did just that too a few months ago. I bought a brand new Bosch dishwasher and was able to pick it up in the box and load it in the back of my hatchback 2008 yaris.

I regularly load up $800+ worth of groceries for my restaurant as well. I'm pretty sure it fits more than a regular Sedan would. Love the cargo space.

Did I mention that I have car camped many many nights (probably onto 20+ nights) with my girlfriend in it, summer and winter. I tilt the passenger seat back and fill the gap where the passenger would normally sit with a plastic box and then use a thicker air mattress to hide all the imperfections. I'm 5'10". She tilts the driver seat forward and fills the gap where the back seat passenger would have their feet with the backpacks and also uses a thick air mattress. She's 5'3". It's all about how well you can fill the gaps under the air mattresses. If you figure it out, you sleep very well!

My band's drummer carries his metal set in his Blazer, and the guitar amps. My Yaris carries all the other instruments, though, plus my 2x12 bass rig.

I have my doubts as to that working for me without removing the passenger seat (I'm over 6' 3"). I know I would fit in a Prius re camping. Aftermarket companies make tents for the standard Prius (affixed over an open hatch). I know I'd fit because I read about a couple who regularly camp in their Prius, with the on car tent and an air mattress. The husband is my height. The wife is shorter, but still 6 foot plus. I wonder if the 4 door AWD Mini Clubman has as much room as the Prius re potentially stretching out inside on an air mattress ?

I wonder if the interior ergonomics of the 5-door Gen 2 are different from the 3-door Gen 2?

I've had about 200 pounds of gravel. I've also moved everything in my apartment in my Yaris.

15 40lb bags of crushed stone last weekend, 52 sony led tv a few months ago (in the box) knees were hitting the dash on this one, and a 3 burner grill today (fully assembled), on my way out of home depot i had to stop and watch this guy for a minute, i doubt he got it to fit because its not a yaris.
