Toyota yaris 2002 - Hard clutch

HI,

I have toyota yaris make 2002. When I purchased this, there was a sound while pressing the clutch and it was very hard. I changed the master cylinder and the sound was gone but I still feel the clutch very hard to press.
Clutch seems fine/easy when I start the car. After driving a mile or half, clutch start feeling hard.

What could be the reason?

what do you mean by hard? like stiff like a race car clutch or just so hard it feels like it's locked up and you'll brake it?

are you the original owner of the car? if not was the car modified or did you have any work done to the car?

It's just the stiff clutch. The bitting point is not very low. I don't press the full pedal to change the gear.
It's problem when I have to wait on traffic signals and it's very difficult to keep clutch pedal depressed for a while.

I am not the first owner of the car.

Depends .. was the car modified by its previous owner? It just could be a higher pressure plate or it could be something mechanical. Post up pics too whaile your at it.

lol, that's exactly what I want in my yaris. Sounds like they changed the clutch, imo. It should allow you to shift faster and yes it does suck in heavy traffic.

IMO just work out your legs a bit and get used to it. That or bring it to a mechanic and get charged up the but in expenses and replace everything including the clutch.

Doesn't make sense to me: if it is easy when cold, and gets hard after use, something is wrong. Clear to me that heat is the culprit, but how, I don't really know...

if it is defiantly hot and cold, fluids expand in the heat, so it must be something to do with your fluids in the line or cylinder.
