Maybe he wanted another player to play his HD-DVDs before they disappeared completely? It's not his HD-DVDs are going to stop working in a few months.

I picked one up myself on the cheap since my 360 w/HD drive is in another room. HD-DVDs still hold movies and can be found for almost nothing at retailers. (I pick up HD-DVDs every so often for around $10 in most cases)

Honestly, I could care less for Blue Ray. With the economy the way it is, I don't feel like paying any more for movies. I would have asked for a PS3 instead but I wanted other titles that you can't get with the PS. I don't think that they'll phase out that quickly. I mean, you can still find new VHS of not necessarily the movies that are out now, but new copied that are like 7 bucks.

When the economy goes back up, then I'll worry about that. Then again, I like to get stuff late since my paychecks suck .. for now. I mean hey, I just got an XBox 360.

Oh and PK, you are a smart ass .... I keed I keed!

The only thing is that technology is moving too fast, that sometimes I wonder if we should revert back to basics because of two things .. 1) It's like hey look what I got, then next week, something new and improved comes out which means that you have to spend more money to keep up with the times, but you don't have that money to spend (good example is the TV digital change) .. and 2) if something cataclysmic were to happen to the world, a small amount of people would survive since everyone relies on electronics and computers (lol the Mayan calendar says we have barely have 4 years). That's why I get my dosage of Man vs. Wild and Survivor Man.

But now that I have COMPLETELY gotten off of subject ... WHAT DID EVERYONE ELSE GET?!
