Hood Stay (lift) Instal

Got bored yesterday so went out and bought a Gas Hood Stay
then installed it .
Install took about 2 hours
This is going to be a 2 stage install , the first stage is what you see now .
The 2nd stage is the install of a power lock solinoid to open the bonnet at
the push of a button , (so to speak.)

Yeah its a cheap and easy mod to do,total cost of Gas Stay with factory mounts cost me $87.NZ ($48.US approx),stage 2 is a little harder as i need to
make a mounting plate and work out switch placement , for the solinoid
but thats more of a time thing ,
cost wise the switch was $7.00 solinoid $12.
more than happy to help out others with parts so they can do the same.

Looks like an Ebay bar, with a TRD badge...most TRD logo items have the Red TRD lettering.

I was thinking maybe a relay hooked up to the handbrake so the hood can't open when the car is mooving.

THE hood cannot open unless you pull the normal hood release as
well as push the RED button , safty first .

Now you need an actuator to lift it up and down from the drivers seat.
