When will 4th Gen be out?
Im currently driving an '08 grey vitz facelift edition (with the indicators on the mirrors). I skipped the 3rd gen, never had a 1st gen but eagerly waiting for the 4th gen. Any idea how it will look like? I'm eagerly anticipating it

If the 2018 refresh 3rd-Gen last 3 years like the 2009-2011 2nd-Gen, 2012-2014 3rd-Gen & 2015-2017 3rd-Gen, then the earliest release date for a completely new 4th-Gen would 2021. Of course, that is the North American cycle. Not sure about countries outside that area.
I'm also waiting to see what the 4th-Gen will be like, before deciding whether to go that route, or buy a 2018-2020 3rd-Gen refresh in its last model year. I'm really not sure if I want a newer direct-inject engine over the awesomely reliable and quite lovable VVT-i 1NZ-FE engine. A CVT transmission also doesn't sound that desireable versus a traditional 4/5/6 speed automatic (since I will finally be buying my first-ever automatic with my next auto purchase). I'm also considering a Toyota iM, depending on how the car is from a design-standpoint in 2020-2021. It should be at least in its late 1st refresh cycle by then & perhaps won't have that ugly front bumper and upside-down headlights at that point. Last edited by Kalispel; 04-30-2017 at 10:21 AM. |
