Good Head Unit Replacement For XM
I have a 2007 Yaris with this head unit.
http://media.caranddriver.com/images...s-1280x782.jpg Assuming that I would have to replace it with a different unit to get xm in the car, what would be the cheapest unit I could get that supports sirius/xm? Also, where the heck do you buy the new frame to fit the unit in? I can't seem to find anything online. I currently have an inno plugged in to the aux jack, but I'm tired of the spaghetti mess all over the place. Last edited by greenlightning; 06-19-2012 at 03:38 PM. |

It's the sedan. I have no idea what I'd do with the factory radio. Wear it as a fancy hat? ;) I take it there's no way to juryrig an xm reciever into the factory radio. That being said, what head unit would you recommend that is fairly cheap. I don't need gps or a dvd or a touchscreen or anything like that.

Also, if this whole thing is going to be too much of a pain in the ass to do, are there any guides on installing a portable unit, but hiding all the wires and bypassing the power outlet?

So I think I'm going to go the cheaper route and just put the portable radio I have in my car. I'd like to have it professionaly put in there this time though. Are there any guides for the Yaris on how and where to run all the wires to make it look nice? Was also thinking of adding another 12v jack closer to the dash.
