Coolant Light

Is it normal for the coolant light to stay on longer than usual when you first start the car up while its cold.Mine stays on for about 2 min or so,I called the dealership they said it is normal .Is this true or they just

Yes it's normal, The colder it is outside, the longer the motor takes to warm up.

Texas 96 hot light stay on 1.30 min by the time I reach the main road its gone. Ready to roll..

yes normal - there no temp gauge on the yaris just a light to tell you whether it is cold or hot.
If there was a gauge the needle would sit at the bottom for a couple of minutes on a cold engine and slowly move to the middle wouldn't it? - wish the yaris had one though....
