RWD Yaris?

Has anyone done it? Anyone know how much it would cost to even get it turned into rear wheel drive?

more specifically, http://www.mospeed.com/yaris/

project which is unfortunately not yet finished, one major hurdle being lack of funding and time, if I understand well. So as to your question of how much it would cost, the best estimate would be A LOT :D

i just bought mine off the lot.. made only 1 payment sofar. i have a problem with purchasing aftermarket parts even when its under warranty still also... i keep enough in the savings in case of emergencies like loosing a job or something.. but any money after that goes to the car...

are there support groups out there for that.. or am i alone on this one?

Foth and the guys from one of the local shops built it.

Have seen it in person, crawled under it and checked it all out......

Have not seen Foth in a while, not sure what happened to it,probably sitting in a garage somewhere.I know he spent a lot to do the build, and it still had some issues with something in the rear not being quite lined up or something rubbing.

It is doable, not something that would end up dailly driven either....but it was indeed a very cool ride.

Warranty isnt voided i am pretty sure aslong as its not a turbo and the shop accepts the installation.

Like if you buy a turbo, take it to the dealer ask tem to install it. If you don't get a weaver stating it will void yoiir warranty if you accept this to be installed.

No dealer in their right mind will install a turbo on your Yaris.

please please please buy a turbo and ask your Toyota dealer to install it under warranty. And videotape the whole thing, it should be entertaining

My brother had a supercharger installed on his tundra by dealership but they told him to sign a weaver that if they did warranty would be voided.

He signed - no warranty. No problems to this day, toyota still makes money.

They don't give a shit about voiding your own warranty you already paid for it and even paid for extended possibly.

you can have a TRD supercharger installed and still be under warranty.
