Extreme VIP Style Yaris

Any VIP'd out Yarii out there? Big deep-dish wheels tuckin hard with lots of -camber? I havent seen any, but seeing the Fit below kinda, maybe, sorta, possibly got me back into modding my Yaris (Ive been kinda out of itlately). I figure if that Fit can look that good, a Yaris would look that much better...

If not maybe someone can do a photoshop?

I haven't seen any VIP-style NCP91s, but have seen some older Yarii that received the VIP treatment. Here are a few that are close to VIP-style:

That's the second picture of a wide-body style that I've seen where the rear wheels were toed out. What is the purpose of doing that, please?

1: I think it's a result of the bags (?) that he's using for suspension.
2: The handling is naturally increased, by having the tires leaning intoward the body (at the expense of replacing them every however many miles).

Or, the matchbox axles he's using are bending under the weight of the body

The last one looks like Mercedes wheels, unsure that's right for a Yaris...I think the first pic's wheels look much better

Either way, it's a terribly impractical style that costs a lot to reap little benefit, but we love it anyway

The large degree of neg. camber is mostly for clearance and aesthetics. I personally love the look of a car so low and so cambered that it looks broken. Impractical, yes... but arent most aftermarket mods?

The deep dish wide wheels on a low car only work if you run a narrow, stretched, low profile tire. The neg. camber helps by bringing the top of the wheel into the wheel arch to minimize rubbing while still running a wide wheel.

Does the camber help in the handling department? Sure. In this case? Nope. The car being so low (many VIP cars are on air ride) in many cases hinders handling, but it looks amazing.

Jeff, still got the AME Shallens?

IMO "Pimp my ride" VIP style is strictly for show, otherwise totally impractical for any daily driver!

Do you really think that's a Euro-look? Seems more like American ghetto cross-over.

No car will ever be everyone's cup of tea. Everyone's opinion counts, and I dont disagree with you. After all... I think I just said that, without the sarcasm
Do you have any mods on your car? Anything you ever do to your car will never be as "practical" as the factory intended it to be. A lot of R&D.

American ghetto cross-over? How do you figure?

[QUOTE=Walter;135238]Do you have any mods on your car? Anything you ever do to your car will never be as "practical" as the factory intended it to be.

Well, I do have some mods on my car, but I believe they're all quite practical... in fact, I would never have considered any of them if they weren't every bit as practical "as the factory intended..."

American ghetto cross-over? How do you figure?
Do you mean like this?

No, that's just plain American ghetto; VIP-style is the cross-over.
And, I'm sorry if you think I was being sarcastic; I was just stating a fact about show-car style and practicality, and "Pimp my ride" is commonly used to refer to each of these related styles.
