Blower motor removal

I've tried searching and the search engine can't find anything. I also have looked through the diy's. I am new to the forum, just bought an 08 Yaris 4 door sedan. Can anyone tell me how to remove the blower motor? It is creating quite a ruckus and doesn't seem to be blowing fast at all.

3 SCREWS

It is very easy to get to. It it under the glove box side and the screws are accessible. One electrical clip and 3 screws and it's out. You can get a new one at Amazon for around $50 bucks. At the store, over $100. It looks a lot like this but easier to do because there is less junk under your dash.

bluefever, I may be replacing my blower motor as well. What issues have you encountered?

There seems to be no air coming from my AC or heat at this point.

I have read that fuses could be an issue. Should I check these prior to replacing the blower motor?

Thanks!

Check the fuses first but these motors will gunk up and lock up. Funny, sometimes they will start if you slap it a few times while set up on high.

Good luck.

does anyone possibly remember what type of screw it has? I tried a large flat-tip, didn't have any luck with it. Sorry about the picture, the best one I could get, flash distorted it, looks like someone was already in there.

This is related info for yaris gen 3 denso blower repair. This motor can be repaired endlessly since all parts are readily available in the market.

Common reason why it makes noise is due to worn out brush or uneven surface of the commutator due to wear and tear.
