looking at past threads I get the impression that if the Yaris gets involved in any collision it will suffer extensive damage compared to other cars - even though it does a good job of protecting the occupants.

That does look like the Yaris is great at protecting the passengers! Good crumple zones!

when the camera looks at the car from an angle on the passenger side, it sort of looks like a liftback.

I woundn't want to be in that type of accident with my LB. Don't know if it would of held up as good as the Sedan did.

I would like to see the rear impact rating on the LB. So far I've only seen the sedan's info.

You can't get that result from a lab. I'm glad the Yaris design held up in a real world crash. Hopefully, the occupants are OK too.

i have total confidence in the yaris. its built to the highest standards and even tho it is a small car it would have done a lot better than other cars. Even though the other cars involved were pickups, they no doubtedly arent as good as the yaris when it comes to crumple zones :)

Good thing it was a back and front crash. If she would have been hit with the same force in the side she'd probably be dead.
