Hello all...
been looking at spring choices for my 3dr and feel a bit overwhelmed. What I am trying to accomplish is:

Handling
Aerodynamics
Ride/ shouldn't be really harsh, but performance oriented
1"+ drop
prefer progressive rate springs

I drive 100 miles round trip for work, all highway, and I am pretty concerned about spring sag too... I will be running 15" r81 mini cooper rims as I ditched the TRD 18's. (took away too much acceleration and mpgs)

Looking for input and your experiences.

I have the H+Rs which are progressive rate and they are stiffer but I will say I like the feel. I lost about an inch on the front and 1.4" on the back (if my memory serves me well). I have driven it to the beach (4 hours) and to another friends house (3.5 hours) and have no complaints. I also did the sway bar. that helps in the handling department too. I'm running on stock steelies.

they are more expensive but a friend of mine knew the brand and said they were good. he didn't really recognize the other brands but he is a mustang guy.

Yeah, can't beat Eibach for matching your criteria while being easy on the wallet. Either Prokits for a 1" drop, or Sportlines for 1.7"ish I think.

Eibach I have used before... I had a really good luck with their tubular suspension products on my GM a body. Are the sportlines a progressive spring?

I have the TRD springs with 140 miles of commuting a day, 40k miles on the springs so far. I love them. No sagging & ride quality is great

I ran ksports for a while.
they are 1+"
they are progressive
ride is real cushy under normal travel
only becomes harsh when the spring is compressed fully.

I am selling a complete set for real cheap with no issues.

toyota trd installed from day one just passed 100k km no issues..not sure if its progressive..

Thank you barber for the spring suggestion! I can't describe how much the handling in the feel of the springs lined up with what I wanted! 00 and thank you Microimage and garm. Great product great price

Love them! Can't wait to sport the microimage stickers. You have a future repeat customer. Prolly the pulley next. At the tireshop getting the r81's put on. The pulley and the mini rims should quicken it up. When i do the clutch i'll convince her i need a flywheel too. ;)

Thats a pic after the rims and springs were installed. It hasn't settled out yet, expecting about another .5" on the front or so. only been on the car for 5miles in this picture. drive 100 miles a day, so should set in real quick. Loving the ride. The mini cooper rims really woke up the car. Has a ton of accelleration down low where it used to lug. It actually runs away from me on the highway at cruising speeds. Never used to do that. Probably need a cruise control now. It's nice to be able to take cloverleafs with confidience now. Used to have to second guess the lag time on the rear swaying and have to compensate.
