XM Install

My apologies if this has been covered already. I did a search and couldn't find an answer.

I'm trying to figure out how to connect an XM receiver to the stock head unit on a new 2010 5 dr hatchback yaris. I'd like to use the aux in jack for an ipod and connect the XM receiver to the AM/SAT input. I have an RcExpress XM reciever. I'm assuming that I'd need some kind of adapter to get from the output of the receiver to the input on the head unit, and I'm hoping I don't need to purchase some kind of kit. If there's a way to build another aux in port, I'd be willing to do that too.

Anybody ever try something like this?

You definitely can't use the OEM Satellite input without an interface. The simplest method would be to use a headphone switch to change between the two inputs:

Whatever you go with make sure that it is futureproofed...you may end up upgrading your HU and it would be a shame to purchase something that you would end up throwing away down the line. I think that it would be awesome if SiriusXM actually started integrating bluetooth into their units...that would be nice.
