ahhh reminds me of my car when it used to sleep in the garage, doing "the works" on it, now the dirt gives it character.

Dory doesn't get to sleep in the garage

She has to brave the elements.

I just saw the pictures of your detail now. Looks amazing! I guess Scratch-X is what I need, since I've noticed rubbing compound isn't enough to get the swirlies out. I don't have power tools, either (nowhere to plug in), but I do clay bar, compound, and wax every year or so, and just a wash and wax every few months to get the dust and bird$#*& off.

Sorry, there were no updates until today. I'll make a separate post though.

I just got a DA polisher, but I won't be detailing Dory again until next year. What sucks is shortly after I did the detail, the stupid power washer crew washed my car and slapped their damn hose on it (I park next to our new car inventory). So now she once again has swirl marks and even worse, SCRATCHES! I swear, we pay these fools to damage our cars, and it's the person who sells the car that ends up paying for it.

Looking good! Just noticed those 2 little pipes in the front lower grill, mind if I ask what those are for?

They're the intake ducting for my twin turbo set up . I'm jk, the previous owner set up the car to be towed behind an RV (but never was). It took the place of the OEM crash beam, so I can't remove it unless I get an install a new crash beam. Speaking of which, I need to find someone to give the other half of the towing kit (the part that goes to the towing vehicle).

Awesome! Bronze goes really well with blue. I'd go with bronze too if I ever got alloy wheels for my car.

Oh ok, so they feed the twin turbo V8 under the hood

Never knew they had tow mounts for the Yaris. These little cars never cease to amaze me haha

Yeah, I really like it. It completely changes the look of the car from afar. I was debating between playing it safe and going with light gray, or going "crazy" and going with gold. In the end, silver was too subtle (even for me, and I like subtly), and gold...well, I didn't want to go with a Subaru look

I was concerned that the bronze would be too brown (looks like it on Tire Rack), but in person, they really are more, well, bronze. Although, I did clean, clay bar, (paint) polish, and threw on 2 coats of wax on each wheel (face, barrel, and back of face), so that may have altered the color a bit (like it did on the blazing blue).

I have the manual somewhere, I forget the brand, but it cost the original owner over 900 bucks. Yup, these little cars are great. That's why I went back to the Yaris when I wanted a second car.

Thanks! Always nice to get the approval from someone who isn't a big fan of aftermarket wheels.

Fantastic looking!!!! I really think its a new take on an old design. They always reminded me of the Enkei Apaches a little.
