Snow Chain Yaris My 2015.... is it possible??

Hi everyone,
I'm writing from italy, and i have a question that i didn't find an answer...

i need to know if is possible to mount snow chain on the yaris my 2015, that mount the 175/65 15' wheels... i read on the owner's manual somethings about 4mm chain's, but i didn't understand what that 4mm means... i don't want to buy a winter tyres cause, here in italy, where i live, seldom snows, so i need the chain jut in case that i will need to drive on a snow...

let me know if someone of you had expirience with that.

Thanks in advance, and sorry about my english... if you don't understand somethings, i will be happy to explain it better.

i know that the sock are easy and faster compared to the chain... but the problem is that in italy the snow socks are no legal. in the winter, in italy, our law want that all the cars have to mount the winter tires or have the snow CHAINS aboard... the snow socks in italy are not considered like the snow chains....

Cool! I was just about to ask this question... I'm in Georgia but in the more elevated hilly areas. About 3 times a year due to lack of road preparation and ice/snow clearing, we get enough snow to shut down the entire neighborhood and keep me trapped in the house. It's not anything terrible - but something like that would at least allow me to make it through the neighborhood and out to the highways that are always cleared!

This thread made me aware of the Autosock so I ordered one. FedEx delivered it today. Now all I need is another snowfall to try them out. I do have regular chains but never put them on although I have been stuck a few times but shoveling was enough to get me going. Thanks for the heads up. Oh, they are a hell of a lot lighter than the chains.

yep! try not to drive on pavement too much, it will wear quickly. if you are just on snow pack/ice/deep, they are good forever! (relatively speaking)
