big brake kit

good news guys for those that were interested in the big brake kits. It turns out while I was at ZPI I did some research and the scion tc xb xa and yaris all have the same brake calipers and rotors (aside from the obvious tc 5lug and yaris and xb 4 lug) the only other thing that was a little different was the brake hoses. Therefore any big brake kit for these cars would fit on the Yaris provided you either purchased a different set of hats for the tc or consulted with the manufacturer to see if it would be possible to have it drilled for both 4 and 5 lug. I believe Rotoras kit comes double drilled for either application. That kit I think sells for around 1200$.

I have just ordered my JBT mini big brake kit which should be ready here in a week or so. I really wanted some better stopping capabiity that would be up the the rigours or weekend track driving. I was thinking about the 13 in rotor kit, but it was 4 pot and decided that I really didn't need something that large. At 13 inch, I would not be able to go put on 16 in rims because the 4pot brakes are too wide and the rotor to large in diameter. The mini caliper 6 pot with 11 in rotors fit nicely and I can use my 16 inch rims for the track.

Interesting. How exactly did you perform your research? Any thoughts on the possible differences in opinion?
