Finally hopped on the sway bar bandwagon!

So I finally caved and bought one! I'm gonna have my friend drive my car before and after the install because he's curious to see how it will affect the vehicles performance. Putting this bad boy on tomorrow!

Nice! I so want to do this to my 2006 RS. Looking forward to your and your friend's impressions.

One of the best mods you can do to this car IMHO.

Yea that's what I keep hearing! I've done a lot of miscellaneous electrical stuff like interior lights and a light bar in the bumper but I haven't done anything to actually improve driving performance lol

I definitely noticed the difference. It's the best mod you can make to a Yaris of any trim level with stock/factory suspension.

I'm wondering how the bar can be housed in the rear axle beam without causing clunking or some form of contact noise. I guess it's been designed in a way not to. One of the kits I looked at had bushings and U-clamps which attach to the beam. The other one I looked at - like yours - doesn't seem to have any secure attachment to the beam.

Your installation looks great. Awaiting the driving impressions.

It's a very clever design from TRD. Props to them. It just sits there under the beam and I heard no noise. It bolts to the shock mount as well as a second empty bolt hole that was already there.

Massive difference. Night and day. It doesn't feel floaty, it doesn't roll hardly at all and the front end doesn't push nearly as much as it used to. I even noticed in a parking lot as I intentionally went over an aggressive speed bump at an angle at like 7mph.

Looks amazing! I want one. Alas, I will have to wait as I just dropped a bunch of $$ on the new audio system for the 06.

I've gone back and forth on this mod. Those that put their Yaris' to the test in real deal race environments claim that a good set of coilovers is all you need with this car. Those that drive on the street say it makes a yuge improvement. I tend to lean towards the guys who are beating these cars up on the track but I recognize that they're two different environments, so results may vary.

Don't get me wrong, coilovers are on my list, but that's a good long ways away. For now, the sway bar is a great addition to my daily on the street. I'm right there with you though for sure.

I have one of these on my black 16. Definitely helped with the way it feels to drive. The tires it came with are awful though so once those are replaced we will see how it does.

I replaced my tires for that reason too. The ones I have are 20 wider and softer so it's noticeably grippier

You don't see it at all. And barely even see it through the wheels.
