Truer words were never spoken LOL. at least I think I have a cheaper fix for the exhaust leak. I can get a split flange to replace the rotten one on the Cat and so should be less than $100 to fix it. New flange, gasket and bolts should do it.

Thanks, shipping would make it to expensive but appreciate the offer. I already had to replace the muffler about 2 months ago and that took $ away from the tires. I will get them eventually as the set on it will die, but I can't replace good tires so it will be when $ are there or tires are done.

Saw it on the 115 on New Years Day, looks awesome.

I was surprised to see how stable it was,

It's very stable. It rides like it should and corners, I think, better than stock.

5"wider stance in the front and almost 6" wider in the rear

It's still in one piece, it's just the lip that holds the gasket in place. I'm going out to the shed later, I'll check it out and take a pic. You can be the judge

i would have thought with the taller tires it would feel not as planted compared to the factory tires. on my rabbit i had a 4" lift on bilstiens, i found the suspension firm but when turning or highway speeds it tended to wander abit due to the higher side wall

It does wander a bit. But as you said, any high profile sidewall will cause that.

Sorry buddy. The flange that holds the muffler gasket in place is completely rotted away.

So, I was wondering...
Is there any general interest in this lift kit?

I was considering putting a few of these kits together for sale.

Things to keep in mind:

- You will be on your own for tire/rim fitment. Because of the design, the oem rim offset will not clear the front lift plates. Rim spacers and/or different rim offset is required.

- You will need to source your own steering shaft boot. There just aren't that many early 2000's ford ranger shift boots in the local scrap yard. (That's what I used)

- I can not guarantee front spacer plate fitment. The kit will be supplied with spacer plates that fit oem struts. If you have aftermarket struts, your own spacer plates may need to be made. Very simple piece of metal cut to size and of the right thickness for your application, with 2 holes drilled for the bottom strut bolts.

- You are on your own for making the exhaust line up with the new engine height.

- The engine and subframe will need to be removed. This isn't a small job and not for the faint of heart.

- I am NOT a certified welder in any way.

- This kit will not be sold as being road worthy or legal in any way. For off road use only.

- There will be no instructions with the kit. However, parts will be labeled and fasteners included. Most of the parts are self explanatory and you can always refer to the build thread for guidance. Plus I can be reached here by PM.

It wont be a $200 kit. It will be closer to the cost of other lift kits as there are some pieces that require custom water jet cuts and some parts that can only be acquired by buying an entire rear axle assembly.

So... anyone interested?

I've had no inquiries so I've shelved the idea. Sorry.
