Help me decide, 2007 or 2009
I'm trying to decide between 2 used Yaris'. Both are 4dr Sedan's, I don't know too much about Yaris but have heard they are ultra reliable.
2007 115,000 km $4300 Has a rear spoiler 2009 250,000 km $3800 no rear spoiler Given that both cars look to be in the same physical condition. Help me decide which one to go with. Which one do you think I should buy? |

With that mileage, I'd probably opt for the '07.

Thanks for the reply. Is there anything in particular that I should look out for on the 2007?

No issues with my '07!
The 2007 yaris is a way better deal: 500$ difference for 135,000 km less! |

Took some pics of both cars. Any thoughts? Did these cars come with A/C as standard equipment? Both are automatics.

Regardless of what's picked fluid service is a must. Oil, coolant, transmission, possible brake fluid as well. Stick with OEM transmission fluid for the automatic. And my preference is Toyota SLLC over the Zerex Asian alternative or any universal coolant. |

Yes, both are auto. I posted some pics last night, waiting for them to be approved.

SHow the guy selling the 09 the 07 and offer less!
$500 for a slightly older car with half the mileage is a DEAL! WAIT A MINUTE! The 07 has a spoiler? Probably owned by a motocrosser who thinks he should be driving the Indy 500 but has to settle for trashing his car every other weekend! Go for the 09! (sorry couldnt resist!)

I will be offering less on the 07 but both cars are at the same dealer.
The 07 spoiler is stock, S series I think. Has a lot of options too, PW, PL, Alloy wheels. I don't see an AC button though. Let's see if this works for the pics: 2007 pics http://tinypic.com/a/5a3wx/1 2009 pics http://tinypic.com/a/5a3ww/1 |

bronsin,
Both cars are at the same dealer. I'm thinking of offering $4000 for the 07. The spoiler is stock on the 07, the S series I think. It has PW, PL, Alloy wheels, driving lights and a few other options. I tried to post links to pics but a Mod needs to approve. |

Good choice the price difference is negligible and the mileage difference considerable.
Even if the car needs a little work at some point $4000 for a Yaris with 100 k is a cheap car. You can also have an independent garage go over the car if you want. Good luck and let us know what happens!

I'm waiting until the pics are approved by a mod before I make another move. I want you folks to look at them and get your input. I'm concerned about the amount of rust underneath. I've never seen muffler hangers with rust growing on them and the left rear frame seems to be showing a lot of rust. |

I wonder how often Mods approve posts with attachments/pictures.

I believe after a certain number of posts, you will be allowed to post links/linked pictures to the forum.

Thanks IllusionX,
Hmm, I wonder how many posts? Every time I post pics, it says the post will not be visible until approved by a Mod. In the posting rules at bottom left it says "You may post attachments", "[IMG] code is On" So I'm not really sure what to think. |

All of a sudden I can post images.
This is some of the rust I concerned with on the 2007. Check out the muffler hangers, just seems odd. Body Pics of the 2007 |
