I haven't replaced mine yet, but I've heard nothing but good stuff from the Infinity Kappa series.

didn't replace mine yet, but I just ordered 2 pairs of Polk db651 6.5" for front and back from Crutchfield. Was told they wouldn't fit, we'll see.

Those are what I have, they fit and you just use the brackets that come with them. Very nice speakers. I have them running off an Alpine amp.

Why would you want 5's in the Rear? You could fit a 8 sub in there if you tried.

Oh, they come with their own brackets?? Sweet!

I just want speakers that plug and play, can't be bothered fabricating things and stuff.

Thanks bro, I feel a lot better now. Was prepared to cut out whatever type of brackets needed. I had the 5" by 7" models in my truck I used to have and they sounded so good. What size amp are you using?

infinity 6.5" component speakers in my doors. i know i have a sedan, but, same size and application roughly. infinity has always been a good bang for the buck for upper scale speakers. however, they dont have the best midbass(not tone or quality, just quantity) in my experience unless new stuff of theirs has changed that.

I had Kappa 60.7cs set up front and 62.7i in the rears on my '07LB. You can put 6.5" speakers in the rear.

the infinity kappas .7 series are 2ohm speakers. you NEED a 2ohm stable HU or amp to use them. (the OEM deck will do fine in 2ohm) Infinity says 2.x ohm become closer to 3.5ohm when heated up, hence no problem in any configuration.

i had tested the 60.7CS in my echo before... i tried them with a nakamichi HU, JVC DVD player and finally my alpine 9855. none of them handled the kappas properly except the fujitsuten oem HU.
