Amp fit under driver seat

Will an amp fit under the driver side seat? I am getting two and need to know where to place the second one. First is going under passenger, but it's snowing here, so I am not going outside to look.

I had a Kenwood KSC-SW10 powered subwoofer under the driver side seat and it was 14-1/2"W x 3-9/16"H x 8-7/8"D. Anything bigger and it would have stuck out the back, jutting out into the passenger foot area behind the driver seat.

just move the stock jack to the trunk/hatch area and you should be good to go, unless its a moderate to large size amp.

Oh right! Forgot about the jack. Yeah, move the jack to the trunk into one of those cubby holes next to the spare tire.

There's also a metal post under the driver seat that's there to keep the jack in place. You can bend it flat or bend it any way you want to support anything you put down there.

No joke... My 80x2 amp fits... but My 200x2 (800x1) amp didn't fit... It was literally less than 1 inch to long. So I traded a guy off a stereo forum for the same type of amp, except the 4x65 (2x130) version which is about 4" smaller just so I could hide both amps and have a nearly stealth install.

I think putting an Amp under the seat is not that good of an idea. You should put it where it can "breath", more space is much better, IMHO. I have tried it and and have it removed after a few months.

amps have horribly designed heatsinks when it comes to heat transfer to the surrounding air... Generally they have VERY poor surface area. Amps usually rely on a big peice of alluminum just holding all the heat. As long as there is an inche of height above the amp... all will be fine. If you live in death valley,ca or some other extremely hot place then... yeah... maybe you should reconsider.....(where you live)

I had the Alpine PDX 4-channel amp. under the front passenger seat for years in my '07 LB and never had any problems. Traded the '07 LB for an '09 LB and have had a mono Pioneer amp. under the front passenger seat of this LB for two years as well w/ no problems. I live in the desert too where daytime temps. in the summer top 110F.
