What is needed for coilovers

what else is needed for basic tein coilovers?

just the box of items sold as is.. if u want to install them urself, get a spring compressor.. if u dont have one, u can rent them at most auto supply places.. i have the tein basics on mine & i love it.. make sure u torque it though.. i let my ex install mine.. had to have it torqed 6 months later cuz he apparently didnt do it.. if i had hit something just right, id have no more car.. lol

hey, ive just purchased a set of basics and will be getting them fitted next week, just wondering since im a total nub at this what else will need doing once the kit has been fitted? will i need to get an alignment job done?

the shop that installs should be able to set up the alignment decently enough for you to drive on. drive around for a couple weeks to let the springs settle, then get an alignment done...

i got mine aligned 3-4 days after i put the coilovers on. when you drive after you put them on, drive with your hands off the wheel. If the car steers one way really fast and sharp, get aligned ASAP! After i put mine on, i took my hands off the wheel and it slowly veered to the right. So I knew I didn't need an alignment ASAP, but still was needed.

but youll also want the camber fixed too....not just alignment...

that is included with the alignment i got. isn't it always?

the place i go to advertises that it aligns vehicles that have been dropped. so all of that is included.

ya, sorry, i read your response quickly...

but ya, when you get an alignment, theyll fix the camber using the camber bolts...

yes always wait a god 10 days to two weeks before doing alignment as camber will change as springs settle.my alignmnet was done a week after and my inner sides of my tires are trashed after 10000 miles,gotta go back and do it again,my tC I waited a month and my tires still look perfect after 10000 miles.....
