hello again!

I've not posted here since my Yaris was totalled. I still check in now and then to check out everyones rides and look for DIY guides.

My replacement for the Yaris is it's slightly larger cousin, a Super White 2008 Scion XD.

Here are some pics of my new(ish) ride.

Here is a list of the mods.

18x7.5 Momo Corse RPM wheels

225/40/18 general Exclaim UHP tires

TRD Springs

Clazzio Suede Type Seat covers Black/Black with Orange stitching.

Redlinegoods.com shift and e-brake boots Black with Dark Blue stitching. (yes I know the stitch color doesn't match the seats)

Zeta Products Storage Armrest.

Soundgate ToyZN4 radio interface for my Zune (so I can control my Zune from the Head Unit)

AFE pro dry stage 2 short ram intake.

And I've had the car a little less than a year and it has over 37,000 miles on it.

Nice xB! I am not a huge fan of them myself, but it is a helluva lot better than the XD as far as I am concerned.

If I am not mistaken, the xB and the Yaris are built on the same platform/frame, right?

The second generation Vitz/Yaris has been around since 2005, the second generation xB wasn't introduced until 2006 and didn't come out until 2008.

And, even the first generation was based on the Yaris...

Quote:
The first-generation xB was a lightly-modified and rebadged version of the Japanese-market subcompact Toyota bB. It was a small station wagon based on the Toyota Echo/Yaris platform. The xB was one of two models in the lineup of Toyota's US-exclusive Scion division present at the brand's 2004 launch, the other being the xA, based on the Toyota ist.

Albino, did you buy any of those parts from me?

I have NST pulleys for the xD if you haven't done that mod yet.

Looks great! It's sold in Europe as Toyota Urban Cruiser.
Enjoy your new car!

my best friend just got one last week, I drive them all the time at work (I valet), and they're great cars. I just like a smaller compact car, and gas mileage...

currently, he gets around 22-25 a tank, but he doesn't drive extremely slow, hes usually 75-80mph on highways... while I get my 36 average.. and I go around 65-70.

but on http://www.gassavers.org/ a lot of people get around 30+ in them... so thats not bad. but then again, a lot of people get more highway time in, unlike me and my friend's mostly 50/50 city / highway driving. *and a real city...

I believe you are correct he said it backwards. I think that's a pretty common mistake though.

I struggled with the spring purchase, debating between the Progress's and the TRD's, ultimately I thought the progress's would be too low. I've definitely got some NST bits on my list though. I'll be sure to hit you up then.

My mileage has been pretty decent but not nearly as good as the week I had the Yaris. I average between 35 and 38 driving about 80% highway keeping it around 65-70. I commute 75 miles one way from Toledo OH to Bermingham MI daily. I really do love the car but I miss the Yaris.
