Smile 2007 Yaris hatchback pre-wired for Cruise control?

Hi everyone,

I will appreciate, if someone could share his knowledge of know whether I could install cruise control setup in my 2007 model Yaris.

By set-up I mean the two button set-up which has been discussed in detail in various threads.

the Chassis # is JTDKW923775062155 and engine # 2NZ4528394

This car was sold by the Dubai dealer in 2007 and was the middle trim that has remote locking , power windows, ABS and automatic gear. The engine is 1.3 litres and I cannot recall anything else that may be worth mentioning.

I have studied the articles on setting up cruise control through connector A21 Pin 40 from the engine side, but could not get appropriate pin to insert into the relevant connection point. The wires on the connector appear the same as I have found for Yaris for American models, so I have high hope but without proper pin my connection did not work, so am a little concerned.

Any info ideas or suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks

No - Only USDM Yaris with the 1.5L engine have the ECM programmed for cruise control.

Thanks for your reply. Do you think en ECM swap from an American Yaris would work?

I don't think it would be a good idea, unless you had the same engine.

The engine I have is 1.3 litres. I checked with the dealer for available ECM's and aprt from the one installed in my car, they have one ECM 89661-52G90, which is different than the one installed 89661-52C00, however the parts section person could not figure out which Yaris will it go to and if their is a spec sheet available.

I checked the above number ending in G90 in the list you have posted, but could not find it, the closest ended in G40 and G50. I will try to meet the electrical technicians in the dealership next week, but I am not hopeful of getting any meaningful response.

It will appreciate, if someone (especially Scott, you have been very helpful and I wish if you could share your knowledge) could help me with two questions;

1. What is the possibility 89661-52G90 ECM may have the CC capability?
2. Is it possible to program the ECM with CC capability.

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, 0% chance, and no - it can not be programmed for it.

I believe that your only option for cruise control is aftermarket.
