Excel G's are OE replacement units.
While they have the same bodies, TRD units have MUCH higher damping rates and cost much more. If you like a smooth ride, go with the Excel G units. If it's go-cart like cornering you seek, go TRD.

If only somebody, anybody would make a front replacement strut for the iQ.....

Koni inserts look like they're my only option in the future or some adaptation of a upper tie rod perch mount adapted to a Yaris strut.

I put a set of these on my car, with Tanabe lowering springs and a TRD rear sway bar.

I'm very happy with the ride.
