a friend of mine trained K9 dogs, and on command they would chew anything, he showed me this when he ordered them to attack a tree, they did, and didn't stop until called off.

sad skeptic
I am openly skeptical of that thread. It sounds more like an insurance fraud scam, than a case of vicious dogs...the account of what happened was very vague. It wasnt a very convincing tale either...
My best friend is an APBT named Cochina. In the 1930s-1950s pits were "America's Dog." Look at the RCA logo, The Little Rascal's (tv series)... Unresponsable owners, media hype, and false claims (such as this one) give these dogs a bad rap...sad, really... (the clunking sound you just heard was me dismounting the soap-box) |

I call huge BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!! Those arent dog bites. What we have on our hands here is a fella in a S2000 that clearly is trying to get carbon front fenders and a new front air damn paid for by his insurance. What a douche. Bastards like that make my damn insurance 150$ a damn month.

I don't see any reason why they couldn't be tooth marks. You wouldn't expect it to look like a cartoon apple bite, would you? They actually look very much like the marks left by my mom's Jack Russell the time he chewed up a hard plastic cat toy. There was probably a cat hiding under it... happens all the time around here. And Pit Bulls are known for their....um.... "tenacity". And if he was trying to get it covered by the insurance company, don't you think he'd opt for something a little more traditional, rather than running the (very likely) risk he'd be stuck ruined parts? No, you don't hatch a crazy story for insurance claims. You stick to safe, believable ones. I think he's legit. ~YR

Saying that Pitbulls aren't genetically predisposed to be more vicious than most other breeds is just ridiculous.
My family had a Rottweiler when I was young... well, younger than I am now ... and it was well trained and kind, but a few times the training gave way to basic animal instinct and that sucker got mean. They can't help it, and sure, those breeds do get a bad rap... but don't be one of those PETA people that insist one of the most vicious dogs on earth doesn't deserve that rap in any way. I don't care what its been a mascot for... you throw it in a situation where instinct is paramount and it will do what it was born to do, despite you throwing treats and telling it to heel. He must have had some animal stink on those wheels or something. |

I beg to disagree... it's definitely the owner, not the breed! I own an american bulldog, close cousin but not a pit. She's the biggest wuss on the planet 'cause she's my baby.

Just looking at the pattern and the dents doesnt add up. Also, both front fenders? around the edge? I dont think the dog is going to bite ALL THE WAY AROUND the fender. It just doesnt add up. Just my .02 I dont believe it.

In my case, there was a cat under the car and the dog was after her. That's why I have scratches in both fenders...Even the rims are scratched!
