What's the difference in the Door lock Kits (wire and rod)

Hey I know a guy that can use the regular rod lock kits to add power locks to wire locks such as the Yaris. But I was was wondering what was the difference between the two kits and I was assuming it was easier just to get the wire door locks.

I guess that the only difference lies in the hardware that connects the motor rod to the cable...

The difference is inconsequential... you have cable actuated locks, so just get the kit that is made to work with your locks.

In the actuators and rods, there is no difference, the difference is in the extra hardware included with cable type kits that allow the rod to pull the cable in cable style locks, and trust me, that extra few pieces of hardware is ESSENTIAL to the setup
