Talking My new baby coming off the production line today

Yay.... I can't wait any longer, got an email from the sales lady yesterday telling me that my new Yaris is coming off the production line today and should be on a truck tomorrow, which means I'm hopefully getting it next week! I'm getting the black T3+ HB.

Great forum btw, I've been browsing it all morning now!

60 Somethings: We have an assembly plant here in South Africa in Port Elizabeth where the cars are manufactured. Considering that they've sold 21 000 Yarisses in the last 9months in South Africa alone, I think that plant is probably worth it Cuts down on the lead time a bit as well I would think.

I think the correct plural of Yaris is Yarii

Frikkie: Interesting. Your saying it was coming by truck seemed strange to me. Would not have guessed there was a Toyota plant in So. Africa. That's a lot of Yarii - probably as many, if not more than have come into the U.S. - but all of ours come from Japan! Thanks for the info.

Yeah SA actually assembles a lot of cars for export to europe as well, not really sure about the reasoning behind that. I've ordered my Yaris with customizations 2 weeks ago and it's now arriving next week, which is far less of a lead time then some of the people here who have to wait 4months for the car. I just hope they don't screw something up along the way though, as customer service largely went out the window here in SA, so far I've had great service though, hope they can keep it up!
