They won't be in stock. Special order, probably close to 2 month delivery time.

Are we talking about limited slip differentials or lambo-style doors?

In stock, by far the BEST LSD made!
I have one of these in all of my cars, just waiting for my clutch and flywheel before I install in the Yaris.

Driving a car with LSD is like flying in the air with the birds at your side... or driving underwater, following a school of rainbow-colored fish..

Oh wait, are we talking about the same kind of LSD?

I prefer helical LSDs over clutch style (Kaaz) because the clutch pack will eventually wear out.

If Quaife made an LSD for our cars that's the route I would go personally.

Replacing clutch packs is a hassel (and costs money), especially in a FWD tranny. And while tuning for specific applications is nice, who's going to do that with their Yaris?

Part # DBT-1621 is the correct KAAZ LSD for Yaris/Vitz NCP90/91. This has already been fitted to the Tein USA as well as several other US/Canada cars and makes sense since the stock diff and trans are shared between the NCP10 Echo/Yaris (Mk1) as well as FWD Corolla, Matrix, etc...

If you can get your clutch to wear out before it's time to change engines and trans, you are doing something very wrong
The Quaife/Peloquin units don't hook up nearly as well and create way too much torque steer without actually getting the power down to the ground.

Clutch packs WILL NOT need to be changed in the lifetime of any street/track Yaris unless you're purely using this as a track only race car at 100% all the time. The same people that would go through the trouble and cost of upgrading to an LSD in a Yaris in the first place would also be open to rebuilding/adjusting the unit if needed. Admittedly this is not for everyone due to the cost of parts and labor.

My point wasn't that it would wear out quick, but the fact that it would wear out at all, it's not something I want to deal with. It's been my experience that helical LSDs hold higher power levels than clutch pack units also.

As far as which unit hooks up better I think that's open for debate. I've used both kinds of LSDs discussed here (and viscous units too) and both hooked up just fine.

Or you are making a lot of power, or you keep your cars a long time, but on average you're right, I'll give you that.

I am looking into the Kaaz for the Turbo kit for the Yaris. Was there a Matrix model that came with a factory LSD? (the one with the Celica motor, maybe?) That would be the cheapest way to upgrade I guess. I wonder if that 6-speed would fit in there, too?
