Removing sedan mirror covers?

I saw a hatchback DIY on removing the painted covers on the mirrors. I am wanting to pop off the covers and I will be shooting them black. What I am wondering is if the mirror assembly pops apart the same way the hatchback does...I dont want to be prying and pulling the same way it says for the hatch if the sedan removal is differant.

if anyone has taken apart the sedans mirrors, can you enlighten me? thanks!

OK...I was just wondering if they dis-assemble the same way. I wont be modifying the casing to fit a LED cover on, I just want to pull the housing apart and wondered if it pulls apart the same way as the hathback. does anyone know if the mirror glass pops out the same way as the hatch?

has anyone ever had the mirrors off yet? i am hesitant to try popping the mirror out the same way shown in the hatchback DIY, because I found out from toyota how much the mirror assembly parts cost(even with my shop discount) and i am afraid that I might break them trying to take the housing apart...any sedan owners done this that wouldnt mind enlightnening me?
