removing AC compressor
I need to inspect my AC compressor and some parts on it. It is so hard to see that I want to remove it all together. I havent had it belted in 4 years and I think the fluid charge is gone. Arent you supposed to see some fluid in the little round view that is on that aluminum block/view thing on top of the engine..?? There is nothing visible in mine.
So it shouldnt be a big deal to remove the hoses,no????????? Anyone dont this and know the bolts etc..????? If I need to replace the unit ,is there an aftermarket compressor that I can sub for it..?? In case I need to....maybe there is a better generic one that will bolt on with an adaptor.. And when I get it all back in ,how much will Toyota charge me to recharge the whole system???? thanks |
