Yaris transmission in xD??

Ok guys I have been advised to start a new thread. I have a Scion xD 5 speed and the transmission has given up the ghost. Replacement transmissions are incredibly expensive or impossible to source. I have been chatting with a fella that said that the Yaris is bolt in although it is a little lighter duty and requires the Yaris axles that it should otherwise fit without modification. I'm in a real right here and really need your expertise.

Before I started this thread another member said that the xD hubs won't work. From what I read that hub end is the same.

Supposedly they are both 26 spline and same diameter on the hub end.

Thanks in advance.

Any help is very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
