BTW are you running the 4.3 final drive or the 4.1?
I just wish it would not require so much work to remove the rears. The radial slicks are so much skinnier I no longer need them.

4.3 is in the car now. I could certainly use something closer to 4.1 for the 2015 Runoffs at Daytona. At least I have almost two years to find one.

Man was it hot at Buttonwillow, in the upper 90s both days, wearing a black drivers suit makes it absolutely brutal.

There were a total of four cars in HP, and about 23 in our run group. My only plan for this event was to make sure everything was good with the old Bestwick engine that I just installed, so I did not push it real hard, the engine ran like a champ. I took the HP win both days, putting the rest of the HP cars a lap down on Sunday, and ran .5sec faster than last year.

On the list of things I should have done years ago... I have had a box full of sensors for my AiM MXL dash just collecting dust for the last three years. I picked up a Micro Image Oil Sandwich Adaptor, it has three 1/8" NPT ports, which allowed me to easily hook up my oil pressure and oil temp sensors.
This made it super easy to hook up, fit perfect, and no leaks. Oil pressure was solid throughout the race, and the highest oil temp I saw was 238f. Considering how hot it was, and we are spinning this engine to 7300rpm, I was happy to see the oil under 250f. Happy that I don't need to install an oil cooler, but in the future for these summer races I may switch from XP1 Driven Race Oil (5W-20) to XP3 (10W-30) just to give myself a little more cushion.

One of the fun things Cal Club does with this event is Saturday movie night. They had a great Taco bar and showed Cars 2 on the side of a transporter.

Not sure if I got anything on Saturday, forgot to put the camera in before I got in the car, and I am not sure if the person who put it in for me got it set right. But I should have some from Sunday, although nothing terribly exciting. Will work on getting it up later this week.

Man has the year gone by quick... On Thursday we load up and make the long tow to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. In an effort to get every bit of speed on those long straits I built added a little aero treatment on the front. The only disappointment being I have remove/install it to get the car off and on the trailer. But chances are it will only last one race anyway, its so low the first time I dip a tire its going to hit the ground.

Just picked up the B-Spec Yaris from storage, it is taking its final ride, giving its parts to rebuild the H Prod car. In a few weeks the leftovers will head to the crusher after only being raced twice.

Well at least they get a chance to get used and shown off instead of just getting scrapped.

Just one. I have the specs, so it could be replicate, but it would not be cost effective for most people.

That looks great. Is there an advantage on this motor of 4-1 over 4-2-1, or is it a cost decision? (those collectors can be pricey)

Micro Image forums, online store and shop are now closed. It was a great eight year run, but it was time to focus on other things. I'm still selling parts on eBay under micro*image seller ID and customers can still make requests for anything specific.

Details will be revealed in a future issue of SportsCar. What I will say is based on the info I got the only reason you would good with a tri-y is packaging, two pipes often fit better than four.
