Speed Induced Auto Lock
Hello All!
So I have had my 2010 Yaris 5Door for a year this past week, and over there year I have slowly noticed features that my old Dodge had that my new Yaris doesn't and I kinda miss those features. One I miss the most is how my dodge would automatically lock all the doors once I hit 15MPH. Since my Dodge did this by itsself I was used to it, now I never remember to lock the cars doors. Does anyone know of a kit that can be added to the car that will reproduce this feature? Where I can get said kit, and how much it might cost? My Yaris has remote keyless entry and power windows and locks. Thanks in advance! |

I'm not sure if you could get it done, but my power locks are wired in to the brakes, so they will lock the first time I hit the brakes, it works quite well!

Thats sounds like it could work. How did you add that feature? Is it something you can buy? BT I love your Yaris.

I have a U.S. 2010 5 door liftback, with remote keyless entry it does not autolock. If I don't remember to lock the doors after I'm in it they will stay unlocked.

Mine's a dealer-installed third party alarm, so I'm really not sure if yours can support it. I'm in a bit of a rush so can't look it up right now, but I *think* auto-lock is an option that the dealers ca set, with the US factory alarm, I think I saw something about it in the technical manual somewhere...

I pretty sure it's an option the dealer can change with the diagnostic tool.

There's no reference to that in the keyless entry configuration options, nor in the manual for the OEM alarm, so I am wondering if the OEM keyless referenced above is actually portor dealer installed.

I wonder if it would be in like a "Hayes" manual or something.
